Istanbul Medeniyet University Department of Information and Document Management was founded in 2011. The department received its first students in the 2016-2017 academic year. In concordant with the university's principles of ‘Innovative’, ‘Entrepreneur’, ‘Community and Civilization-Oriented’, ‘International’ and ‘Research-Oriented’ education concept, the department continues its education program covering archival science and librarianship at the undergraduate and graduate level.
As of September 2019, two separate divisions have been established in our department: Librarianship and Archival Science.
